AN AMPED UP WOMAN
Her independence caused offence to men,
She never winced, sat on the fence nor needed saving,
Ran her house so well it could almost sprint,
No blouse, just jeans and never skint,
Made to feel wrong for trying to be strong,
But only when judgemental, mentally weak come along,
They represent the bleak as they seek a topic cheap, gawking with faces long,
Only on bad days does she pay attention,
it should be something no one should ever have to mention,
Her actions would cause some churches to sneer,
But she’s a dear while keeping all intent and character clear,
She unwinds and smiles loudly with some smoke,
Like a light lighting proudly always offering a toke,
She’s writing the best chapters of her book over a coffee cup,
Always, seemingly, energetically, lucky and amped up,
Work, smiles, smoke, style, most of all fun,
She’s inspirational and an amped up woman.
